“ Today we felt like making the most of a summer morning in Jakobstad, so we headed to the idyllic spot called Skorpan. The place was incredibly charming. It felt like stepping into someone’s cosy garden. Peaceful, relaxed and full of that summer magic. Breakfast was a classic Esse breakfast with a sandwich, yoghurt topped with locally grown berry compote, blueberry juice and good coffee. Simple, but tasty and well-prepared. Of course, we couldn’t leave Skorpan without trying what they call “the best cinnamon bun in the world”. And honestly? It wasn’t an exaggeration. It was soft, moist and tasted like a sweet grandma had baked it using a family recipe. Just the right size and reasonably priced. The only small minus was the blueberry juice, which came from a store-bought carton. That tiny detail turns an obvious five-star rating into a soft one. If you're in Jakobstad during summer, be sure to visit Skorpan. You won't regret it and your inner grandma will thank you ;) ”
